"COMPOSIçãO DE VACINA, PROCESSOS PARA IMUNIZAçãO CONTRA NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE E PARA PREPARAR UMA COMPOSIçãO DE VACINA, SEQuêNCIA DE DNA ISOLADA E PURIFICADA, PLASMìDEO, CéLULA HOSPEDEIRA, PROCESSO PARA PRODUçãO DE UMA PROTEìNA PILINA RECOMBINANTE QUIMéRICA DE NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE E NEISSERIA MENINGITIDIS, PROTEìNA PILINA RECOMBINANTE QUIMéRICA ISOLADA E PURIFICADA DE NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE E NEISSERIA MENINGITIDIS, E, PROCESSO PARA IMUNIZAçãO CONTRA NEISSERIA MENINGITIDIS" Os genes pilE de cada uma das Neisseria gonorrhoeae e Neisseria meningitidis são clonados e suas proteínas pilinas recombinantes correspondentes são expressas. Além disso, é construído um gene pilE quimérico em que a região do gene pilE de Neisseria meningitidis Classe I codificando a região terminal amino da proteína pilina é substituída pela região correspondente do gene pilE de Neisseria gonorrhoeae. A proteína pilina classe I quimérica meningocócica recombinante é expressa em níveis mais elevados do que a proteína pilina expressa pelo gene pilE de comprimento completo de Neisseria meningitidis. Além disso, é construído um gene pilE quimérico em que a região do gene pilE de Neisseria meningitidis classe II codificando a região terminal carbóxi da proteína pilina é substituída pela região correspondente do gene pilE de Neisseria gonorrhoeae. As proteínas pilinas recombinantes são usadas em vacinas, para proteger contra doença causada por Neisseria gonorrhoeae ou por Neisseria meningitidis.
