Abstract

Patente de Invenção:"EQUIPAMENTO E MéTODO PARA ENVIO DE INFORMAçõES COMUNS ATRAVéS DE CANAIS DE DADOS COMUNS". Um método e um equipamento para a transmissão de informações comuns para uma pluralidade de terminais de usuários dentro de uma região geográfica. O método e o equipamento são úteis em um sistema de comunicação por satélite (100) possuindo um portal ou "gateway" (120, 122) e uma pluralidade de satélites (116, 118) que apresentam órbitas tais que eles não ficam estacionários em relação a um ponto sobre a superficie da terra. o método inclui a etapa de gerar uma listagem identificando uma pluralidade de canais de dados comuns (702) através dos quais as informações comuns serão transmitidas. A listagem pode incluir, para cada um de tais canais de dados comuns, informações identificando um satélite predeterminado, a freq³ência do facho (401 a 416) e o canal. Devido à órbita dos satélites (116, 118) a listagem varia com o tempo. O método inclui também as etapas de transmissão (708) a partir do gateway para a região geográfica (502, 504, 520, 522), as informações comuns através da pluralidade de canais de dados comuns. O método inclui também a recepção (720), em um terminal de usuário (124 , 126), das informações comuns através de pelo menos um dentre a pluralidade de canais de dados comuns.
