Abstract

"CICLO DE VIDA DE APLICAçãO DE SOFTWARE E GERENCIAMENTO PARA APLICAçõES DE TRANSMISSãO". Trata-se de uma arquitetura de software para gerenciar aplicação em um terminal de televisão do tipo de assinante. Uma interface de programação de aplicação (API) provê um mecanismo com base em ITU -T X.731 para monitorar e controlar as aplicações, aplicações tais como um guia de programa, tíquete de estoque ou semelhante, são recobertos no terminal de acordo com um locador associado. As aplicações registradas (205) e instaladas no terminal, e um usuário é notificado da presença das aplicações depois da registração das mesmas a API (270) permite execução, pausa, continuação e parada das aplicações. A API também permite que as aplicações anunciem seus respectivos estados para outras aplicações, tais como estados de alarme (325), estado de disponibilidade (330), estados de procedimento (335), estado de operabilidade (310), estados administrativos (305) e estados de utilização (315).
