"genes codificando acetolactato sintase, proteína de acetolactato sintase, vetor recombinante, transformante, planta, método para cultivar a planta, bem como método para selecionar um transformante". a presente invenção provê um gene codificando proteína als que mostra um nível extremamente elevado de resistência a herbicidas pc. o gene da presente invenção codifica a seguinte proteína (a) ou (b): (a) uma proteína que compreende uma seqüência de aminoácidos de seq id n<0>: 1, (b) uma proteína que compreende uma seqüência de aminoácidos derivada de seqüência de aminoácidos de seq id n<0>: 1, por substituição, deleção ou adição de pelo menos um ou mais aminoácidos, tem resistência a herbicida pirimidinil carbóxi e tem atividade acetolactato sintase.
