Abstract

"BIOPOLìMEROS, PROCESSOS DE PRODUçãO DE BIOPOLìMEROS, E MATERIAL PLáSTICO". A presente invenção descreve a produção de polímeros de natureza biológica através de processos de fermentação no estado sólido empregando microrganismos; os referidos polímeros são materiais biodegradáveis, com propriedades mecânicas e físico-químicas semelhantes às de diferentes plásticos de origem petroquímica e sua produção pode ser feita utilizando-se rejeitos agroindustriais de baixo custo como matéria-prima; a obtenção desses biopolímeros pode ser feita através de processamento direto dos sólidos fermentados contendo a biomassa microbiana ou a partir de extração com solventes dos biopolímeros contidos na biomassa.
