Abstract
"PROCESSO DE CONCENTRAçãO DE WILLEMITA POR FLOTAçãO / REVERSA DE GANGA CARBONATADA". A presente invenção diz respeito a um processo de concentração de um minério silicatado de zinco, por meio da flotação reversa. Esta invenção referese ao processamento de minérios silicatados de zinco-willemíticos contendo ganga carbonatada, na forma de dolomita. A técnica conduz à produção industrial consiste na moagem e preparação de uma polpa de minério, condicionamento com reagentes que deprimam sificatos e outros que tornem hidrofóbicas as partículas de carbonatos e minerais de ferro, separando-os por flotação reversa. O produto final desta invenção destina-se ao processo hidrometalúrgico de obtenção do zinco metálico, que é iniciado com uma etapa de acidulação com ácido sulfúrico. As características de teor e recuperação de Zn do produto desta invenção são satisfatórios e adequados ao processo hidrometalúrgico, tendo sido obtido por meio de um processo de menor custo e menor impacto ambiental."WILLEMITA CONCENTRATION PROCESS BY CARBONATED GLOB FLOTATION / REVERSE". The present invention relates to a process of concentrating a zinc silicate ore by reverse flotation. This invention relates to the processing of zinc-willemitic silicate ores containing carbonated gangue in the form of dolomite. The technique leads to industrial production consisting of grinding and preparing an ore pulp, conditioning with reagents that depress sificates and others that make the carbonate and iron mineral particles hydrophobic, separating them by reverse flotation. The end product of this invention is intended for the hydrometallurgical process of obtaining metallic zinc, which is initiated with a sulfuric acid acidulation step. The Zn content and recovery characteristics of the product of this invention are satisfactory and suitable for the hydrometallurgical process and have been obtained by a lower cost and lower environmental impact process.
