Um conjunto de freio a disco incluindo uma pastilha de freio, um retentor de pastilha, uma pinça de freio e uma mola de pastilha, o retentor de pastilha tendo uma região plana situada em um primeiro raio para encaixe com uma região plana da mola de pastilha, para restrição do movimento radial da pastilha, o retentor de pastilha sendo preso a um lado externo da pinça em um segundo raio e tendo uma curvatura adjacente à região plana, para permitir que um segundo raio seja menor do que o primeiro raio, no qual a mola de pastilha tem uma borda arredondada adjacente à curvatura.
