Abstract
"UTILIZAçãO DA POSIçãO APROXIMADA DE UM DISPOSITIVO DETERMINADA A PARTIR DE SINAIS AMBIENTES". A presente invenção emprega posições aproximadas de dispositivo determinadas a partir de mudanças na potência detectada de sinais de rádio em posições diferentes. Em uma instância da invenção, as posições aproximadas de dispositivo são baseadas em procedimentos de inferência que são usados para processar sinais ambientes de rádio comercial, para avaliar uma posição ou uma distribuição de probabilidade em relação à posição de um dispositivo. Em uma outra instância da invenção, são utilizadas posições aproximadas de dispositivo derivadas de métodos de aprendizagem e de inferência que são aplicados para classificar vetores de potência de sinal. Mudar para tais ordenações de classificação conduz a métodos que ignoram a consideração de potências absolutas de sinal em cálculos de posição. A invenção utiliza aproximações para uma posição de dispositivo que se baseia em um método que não exige um número substancial de potências de sinais ambientes disponíveis enquanto proporcionando, ainda, inferências de posição úteis na determinação das posições. Vários serviços essenciais para a posição são suportados, incluindo recebimento de informação específica para a posição como informes sobre tráfego, informação de emergência, transmissão sobre posição do dispositivo, e promoções suscetíveis ao momento, como descontos oferecidos por empresas para equilibrar a provisão de serviços.
