Abstract
"SENSOR DE PNEU E PROCESSO DE MONTAGEM". Um sensor de tensão inclui duas chapas capacitoras mantidas em uma relação espaçada entre si por um bloco conector situado entre elas. O bloco conector inclui vários bastões se projetando das partes laterais do bloco conector opostas e estendendo-se para uma respectiva chapa capacitora, para prender as porções periféricas de cada chapa capacitora no bloco conector. Um pequeno vão de ar é mantido entre as porções periféricas das chapas capacitoras pela inclusão de um elemento espaçador. As porções das extremidades terminais são deformadas, de modo que por aplicação de calor em uma superfície externa das chapas capacitoras, para manter as chapas capacitoras em uma relação mútua fixa. As porções das extremidades terminais dos bastões servem ainda para impedir deslizamento horizontal ou vertical entre as chapas capacitoras, quando o sensor é vulcanizado em compostos de borracha, tal como um pneu. Uma vez embutido dentro do composto de borracha, o vão entre as chapas capacitoras varia responsivamente à tensão dentro do composto de borracha, variando desse modo proporcionalmente a capacitância do dispositivo. Um sinal é encaminhado para o dispositivo sensor e uma antena posicionada próxima ao dispositivo detecta o valor da capacitância entre as chapas capacitoras. Na medida em que a capacitância varia proporcionalmente com a tensão dentro do material, a antena detecta as variações e transmite os dados para uma leitora remota, que interpreta os dados para determinar a tensão medida dentro do composto de borracha.
