Abstract
PROCESSO CONTìNUO DE FABRICAçãO DE éSTERES ETìLICOS (BIODIESEL) EM DUAS REAçõES SEPARADAS EM BAIXA TEMPERATURA E PRESSãO. Refere-se a um processo de fabricação industrial de ésteres etílicos (biodiesel) em duas reações separadas, por hidrólise de triésteres de óleos vegetais na temperatura aproximada de 60°C e na pressão atmosférica, e sua posterior esterificação com etanol hidratado em duas colunas separadas com recheio de brita de óxido misto de cálcio e magnésio (CaO.MgO) na dimensão de 1/15 do diâmetro da coluna como catalisador heterogêneo, processo denominado DUOBIO. A mistura emulsionada de 1:1 de óleo vegetal e água na temperatura de 60°C é distribuida no alto da primeira coluna e escorre pelo catalisador descendo na coluna e hidrolisando as meléculas dos ácidos graxos componentes no triester e separando-as do triálcool (glicerol C~ 3~H~ 5~(OH)~ 3~) que coletados na base da coluna são separados por diferença de densidade. Os ácidos graxos são misturados com etanol hidratado na proporção de 1:2 e distribuidos no alto da segunda coluna recheada com brita de óxido de cálcio e magnésio (CaO.MgO) como catalisador heterogênio em pedras de até 10 mm, também na dimensão de 1/15 do diâmetro da coluna e escorre pelo catalisador até a base da coluna onde se separa por densidade o monoéster etílico (biodiesel) dissolvido no excesso de etanol e a água do processo. A solução de éster etilico e o excesso de etanol é submetida à destilação fracionada, recuperando-se o etanol hidratado e obtendo-se o éster etílico isento de etanol.CONTINUOUS PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING ETHYL ESTERS (BIODIESEL) IN TWO SEPARATE LOW TEMPERATURE REACTIONS.
