Abstract

"MECANISMO PARA PROPORCIONAR FUNCIONALIDADE ESTENDIDA PARA INSTRUçõES DE LINHA DE COMANDO". O presente mecanismo permite que comandos ingressados sobre uma linha de comando em um ambiente operacional de linha de comando tenham a capacidade de executar em um primeiro modo de execução alternativo. O comando é executado no modo de execução alternativo se o comando incluir uma instrução para executar no modo de execução alternativo. O modo de execução alternativo é proporcionado pelo ambiente operacional e proporciona funcionalidade estendida para o comando. O modo de execução alternativo pode exibir visualmente resultados de execução do comando, exibir visualmente resultados simulados de execução do comando, aviso para verificação antes da execução do comando, pode realizar uma verificação de segurança para determinar se um usuário que requer a execução possui privilégios suficientes para executar o comando, e similares.
