Abstract

"FIBRAS ELETRICAMENTE CONDUTORAS DE Ti~ 4~O~ 7~ e Ti~ 5~O~ 9~". A presente invenção refere-se a fibras sólidas, formadas e queimadas de Ti~ 4~O~ 7~ e Ti~ 5~O~ 9~ que são feitas queimando fibras de TiO~ 2~ em uma atmosfera redutora. Em um primeiro aspecto, as fibras de TiO~ 2~ são feitas pela extrusão no ar de um gel de TiO~ 2~ viscoso e tratando termicamente as fibras verdes resultantes para remover o solvente, decompor e volatilizar os constituintes indesejáveis para formar fibras refratárias, eletricamente condutoras de Ti~ 4~O~ 7~ e Ti~ 5~O~ 9~. Em um segundo aspecto, fibras sólidas, formadas e queimadas de Ti~ 4~O~ 7~ e Ti~ 5~O~ 9~ são feitas pela queima de fibras extrudadas de misturas de TiO~ 2~.
