Abstract

"SINAL DE TV AUTOMáTICO E CONFIGURAçãO DO SINTONIZADOR". Tratam-se de um sistema e métodos que executam uma configuração automática do sinal / sintonizador de TV em um dispositivo sintonizador (por exemplo, um PC, um gravador de vídeo pessoal, uma caixa decodificadora, etc.) que possui um ou mais sintonizadores. A configuração identifica o número de sintonizadores no dispositivo, se os dispositivos são analógicos ou digitais e qual padrão de difusão cada sintonizador suporta. A região geográfica na qual o dispositivo estará recebendo sinais de TV é identificada e os sintonizadores suportando esta região são identificados. Os sintonizadores digitais são relatados como sendo digitais, enquanto que os sintonizadores analógicos são varridos para localizar sinais de TV válidos e para determinar a fonte de quaisquer sinais de TV válidos (por exemplo, uma antena, um provedor à cabo, uma caixa decodificadora).
