"CONJUNTOS CONECTORES DE TIRANTE E DE FIASTE DE VáLVULA, MéTODO PARA REDUZIR O ATRITO ENTRE O CONJUNTO DE HASTE DE VáLVULA E UM CONJUNTO DE GAXETA DE VALVULA, E, CONJUNTO DE VALVULA DE CONTROLE". é provido um conjunto conector de tirante melhorado e método para apertar mecanicamente dois tirantes (230, 260) um no outro. Superfícies associadas no geral planas (234, 248) de um primeiro conjunto do tirante (230) e de um segundo conjunto do tirante (260) são acopladas de forma compressiva por meio de uma união de tirantes (204). A carga compressiva pela união de tirantes (204) é derivada de uma superfície afilada (208) que fornece um ajuste de interferência a uma superfície afilada correspondente (209) do primeiro conjunto do tirante (230). Diâmetros de folga providos no interior da união de tirantes (204) acomodam desalinhamento axial do primeiro conjunto do tirante (230) e do segundo conjunto do tirante (260).
