Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO DE FLUTUAçãO DE TAMANHO SEPARADO". A invenção proporciona um dispositivo de flutuação incluindo uma série de tanques de flutuação (1) para processar uma pasta que incorpora minerais valiosos para extração. Ao menos um dos tanques inclui uma saída lateral (15) adaptada para a retirada de partículas grosseiras relativamente finas almejadas da pasta. Os tanques incluem também uma saída inferior (14) para a retirada de componentes relativamente densos ou grosseiros da pasta. A concretização de saídas de fundo e laterais permite que a pasta seja separada em duas correntes paralelas, uma configurada para recuperação otimizada de componentes relativamente grosseiros ou densos da pasta e outra para recuperação otimizada de componentes relativamente finos da pasta. Desta maneira, a pasta do fluxo de saída dos tanques de jusante no corrente de partículas grosseiras tem uma proporção mais elevada de partículas mais grosseiras do que estava presente na pasta do fluxo de entrada dos tanques de montante. Conseqüentemente, quando um reagente de flutuação for adicionado à pasta nos tanques de jusante, há uma probabilidade maior de revestir algumas das partículas maiores. Conseqüentemente, a probabilidade de fazer flutuar estas partículas maiores nos tanques de jusante aumenta. Isto aumenta por sua vez a eficiência total do processo de flutuação.
