São fornecidos cermets nos quais a fase cerâmica é selecionada do grupo que consiste de Cr~ 23~C~ 6~, Cr~ 7~C~ 3~, Cr~ 3~C~ 2~ e misturas destes. A fase ligante é selecionada de certas ligas Ni/Cr e certas ligas Fe/Ni/Cr específicas. Esses cermets são usados particularmente na proteção de superfícies de erosão a altas temperaturas."CERMET COMPOSITION AND METHOD TO PROTECT A METAL SURFACE EXPOSED TO EROSIVE MATERIAL". Cermets are provided in which the ceramic phase is selected from the group consisting of Cr ~ 23 ~ C ~ 6 ~, Cr ~ 7 ~ C ~ 3 ~, Cr ~ 3 ~ C ~ 2 ~ and mixtures thereof. The binder phase is selected from certain Ni / Cr alloys and certain specific Fe / Ni / Cr alloys. These cermets are particularly used to protect surfaces from erosion at high temperatures.
