Abstract
"MéTODO PARA A PRODUçãO DE CéLULAS NERVOSAS RETINAIS A PARTIR DAS CéLULAS-TRONCO NEURAIS/PROGENITORAS DERIVADAS DE TECIDO DE ìRIS E CéLULAS NERVOSAS RETINAIS OBTIDAS DO MESMO MéTODO". A presente invenção refere-se a um método para a produção de células nervosas retinais por indução de diferenciação de células epiteliais pigmentadas da íris para formar as células nervosas retinais. Em um primeiro método, células epiteliais pigmentadas da íris derivadas de um mamífero e células-tronco retinais de embrião derivadas de um pássaro são co-cultivadas. Em um segundo método, células epiteliais pigmentadas da íris de um pássaro ou um mamífero são isoladas e as células epiteliais pigmentadas da íris são submetidas a cultivo aderente. De acordo com estes métodos, as células nervosas retinais podem ser produzidas por uso de células epiteliais pigmentadas da íris coletadas a partir de um paciente por si. Portanto, há uma possibilidade que tratamento médico regenerativo altamente eficaz pode ser realizado.
