Abstract
"DIRECIONAMENTO DE ANTENAS E RECONHECIMENTO DE NóS OCULTOS PARA PONTO DE ACESSO". é fornecido um método de operação de ponto de acesso em uma rede de área local sem fio (WLAN). O ponto de acesso inclui uma antena direcional para comunicação com uma série de estações remotas e a antena direcional inclui uma série de padrões de antenas. O método inclui a criação de um banco de dados de antenas por meio da associação entre o ponto de acesso e cada estação remota de qualidade de sinal medida respectiva correspondente à série de padrões de antenas. As qualidades de sinal medidas correspondentes são determinadas pelo ponto de acesso com base em comunicações com cada estação remota. O método inclui ainda a determinação para cada estação remota de um padrão de antena preferido com base no banco de dados de antenas e seleção de uma estação remota e do padrão de antena preferido correspondente com o qual comunicar-se. Também se determina, com base no banco de dados de antenas e antes da comunicação com a estação remota selecionada, se qualquer estação remota não selecionada possui o potencial de não saber quando realmente ocorre essa comunicação.
