Abstract
"ANTICORPOS ESPECìFICOS A ESCLEROSTINA E MéTODOS PARA AUMENTAR A MINERALIZAçãO óSSEA". São propostas composições e métodos referentes a anticorpos que se ligam especificamente a proteínas de ligação a TGF-<225>. Estes métodos e composições se referem à alteração da densidade mineral óssea por interferência na interação entre a proteína esclerostina que se liga a TGF-<225> e um membro da superfamília de TGF-<225>, especialmente uma proteína morfogênica óssea. O aumento da densidade mineral óssea tem emprego em condições e doenças em que a baixa densidade mineral óssea tipifica a condição, tais como osteopenia, osteoporose e fraturas ósseas."SPECIFIC ANTIBODIES FOR SCLEROSTIN AND METHODS FOR INCREASING BONE MINERALIZATION". Antibody compositions and methods are proposed which specifically bind to TGF-β binding proteins. These methods and compositions refer to the alteration of bone mineral density by interfering with the interaction between the TGF-β binding sclerostin protein and a member of the TGF-β superfamily, especially a bone morphogenic protein. Increased bone mineral density is used in conditions and diseases where low bone mineral density typifies the condition, such as osteopenia, osteoporosis, and bone fractures.
