Abstract

"RECUPERAçãO DE PEPTONAS". A presente invenção refere-se a um processo eficaz para converter material contendo proteína derivado de animal em uma mistura de peptona. O processo compreende uma etapa envolvendo hidrólise alcalina do material contendo proteína. A etapa de hidrólise pode ser rápida e tipicamente requer apenas uma baixa concentração de material alcalino. O processo de conversão total pode produzir uma produção elevada de pequenas peptonas e outras peptonas. As peptonas resultantes podem ser também separadas, purificadas ou de outro modo processadas para fornecer propriedades desejadas tais como distribuição de peso molecular, solubilidade em água, cor seca e fluxabilidade seca.
