Abstract
"MéTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA POSICIONAMENTO HìBRIDO DE REDE SEM FIO". Métodos e equipamentos para a determinação de posição e outras operações. Em uma modalidade da presente invenção; uma estação móvel utiliza sinais sem fio a partir de uma pluralidade de redes sem fio (por exemplo, com diferentes interfaces aéreas e/ou operadas por diferentes provedores de serviço) para a determinação de posição (por exemplo, para comunicação de dados, para obtenção de informação de tempo e/ou freqüência, para medição de faixa, para estimativa de setor ou altitude). Em uma modalidade da presente-invenção, as estações móveis são utilizadas para colher os dados estatísticos sobre os pontos de acesso sem fio (por exemplo, as localizações das estações móveis que receberam sinais dos pontos de acesso sem fio, tal como de estações base celulares, pontos de acesso de rede de área local sem fio, repetidoras para posicionamento de sinais, ou outros transmissores de comunicação sem fio) e para derivar informação de localização (por exemplo, posição e área de cobertura dos pontos de acesso sem fio) para as redes sem fio a partir dos dados estatísticos coletados.
