Abstract
"MATERIAL PARA SUBSTITUIçãO DE MATERIAL TIPO CARTILAGEM, E, PRóTESE". Material reforçado com fibra que substitui tecido tipo cartilagem, consistindo de uma estrutura fibrosa hidrófila relativamente elástica e uma matriz de hidrogel polimerizado. A ligação fibras-matriz é aumentada pela saturação da fibra com a solução de monómero antes da polimerização do hidrogel. A fibra consiste, de preferência, de um material baseado em poliuretano. Mais particularmente, este material contém 10-70% (m/m) de fibras (baseado na matéria seca) e 1-5% (m/m) (baseado na matéria seca) de uma substância que contém grupos ionizados adicionados ao mencionado hidrogel.
