São apresentados um método e aparelho para controlar um motor CC sem escova (BLDC) em uma ampla faixa de velocidades angulares. Sensores magnéticos analógicos fornecem medições de sinal contínuas relacionadas à posição angular do rotor a uma taxa de amostragem independente da velocidade angular do rotor. Em uma modalidade, medições de sinal analógico são subseqüentemente processadas usando uma função arcotangente para obter a posição angular do rotor.
