Abstract
"COMPOSIçãO DE REVESTIMENTO ARQUITETÈNICA AUTO-OXIDáVEL, MODIFICAçãO DA MESMA, E, MéTODO A APLICAçãO DE UM REVESTIMENTO SECO DE UMA COMPOSIçãO DE REVESTIMENTO ARQUITETÈNICA A UMA SUPERFìCIE". A invenção refere-se a uma composição de revestimento arquitetónica auto-oxidável adequada para aplicação a superfícies encontradas em ou ao redor de edifícios em temperaturas ambientes e em luz do dia natural por usuários não sofisticados não tendo proteção respiratória em a auto-oxidação da superfície da composição é promovida por uma combinação de concentrações baixas de íons de metal (especialmente manganês ou vanádio) e pelo menos um fotoiniciador. A composição evita a necessidade de se usar mais que quantidades traço de íons de cobalto que são carcinogênicos e ainda alcança taxas adequadamente rápidas de auto-oxidação. Preferivelmente, o uso de cobalto é evitado também. O uso de baixas concentrações dos outros íons de metal reduz a descoloração das composições freqüentemente para níveis abaixo dos que são alcançados usando-se promotores de cobalto convencionais. Ela também melhora o brilho. Também, uma modificação em que a auto-oxidação da superfície é promovida por uma combinação de um fotoiniciador e quantidades traço de íons cobalto na ausência de outros íons de metal de promoção de auto-oxidação de superfície. Finalmente, um método para aplicação dos revestimentos auto-oxidáveis a superfícies sob temperaturas ambientes em que eles são submetidos a luz do dia natural ou irradiação de baixa energia similar.
