Abstract
"MéTODO PARA APERFEIçOAMENTO GENéTICO DE PORCOS TERMINAIS". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos que providos aqui referem-se à produção de suíno. Especificamente, a presente invenção provê métodos para a produção de animais reprodutores terminais (isto é, reprodutores terminais e reprodutoras terminais) para uso em rebanhos de produção de suíno. São também providos métodos para rapidamente e eficientemente introduzir e/ou fixar uma ou mais características ou alelos desejáveis em um rebanho de suíno. Alternativamente, os presentes métodos podem ser empregados para eliminar uma característica ou gene particular indesejado. A invenção também provê rebanhos que foram desenvolvidos usando qualquer um dos métodos descritos aqui. A invenção também provê o uso de transferência de embrião, incluindo transferência de embrião auxiliada por marcador, para facilitar a transferência de material genético, particularmente quando é desejado manter o estado livre de patógeno específico de um rebanho.
