Abstract
"ARRANJO DE CATALISADOR E MéTODO DE PURIFICAçãO DO GáS DE ESCAPAMENTO DE MOTORES DE COMBUSTãO INTERNA OPERADOS SOB CONDIçõES DE MISTURA POBRE". A invenção refere-se a um arranjo de catalisador para purificação dos gases de escapamento de motores de combustão interna operados sob condições de mistura pobre. Propõe-se que um veículo poroso de parede fina seja revestido de um lado com um catalisador de armazenamento de óxido de nitrogênio e, do outro lado, com um catalisador de RCS. Quando o gás de escapamento é passado através dos revestimentos catalíticos e do material de suporte, consegue-se uma melhora significativa na conversão de óxido de nitrogênio em comparação com um arranjo em série dos catalisadores em veículos separados. Filtros de fluxo de parede se mostraram úteis como veículos de parede fina.
