Abstract

"PROCESSO CìCLICO PARA A REMOçãO DE DIóXIDO DE ENXOFRE E MéTODO DE REDUZIR A CONCENTRAçãO DE DIóXIDO DE ENXOFRE EM UMA CORRENTE DE GáS TRATADO". Dióxido de enxofre é removido de correntes de gás contactando a corrente de gás com um meio de absorção contendo uma amina capaz de formar um sal amina, sal termoestável e sulfito. O nível de sal termoestável é selecionado tal que durante o processo de regeneração da amina rica em dióxido de enxofre, o pH do meio de absorção está em um nível selecionado ou abaixo quando o nível de sulfito no meio de absorção tem sido reduzido para um valor específico. A amina que absorve o dióxido de enxofre tem um pKa menor que aquele do sulfito. Se o absorvente inclui uma diamina, então o meio de absorção gasto é regenerado sob condições tais que pelo menos um grupo amina está na forma de sal.
