Abstract
"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA MINIMIZAR O NúMERO DE IMAGENS DE REFERêNCIA USADAS PARA INTER-CODIFICAçãO". Um método (200) para minimizar e otimizar uma lista de imagens de referência ativa a serem usadas para inter-codificar (para frente ou para trás) uma imagem atual, ou uma região de pixel (por exemplo, objeto de vídeo) dentro da imagem atual. Ajustar o número de imagens de referência ativa em uma lista igual a um (294) com base em uma ou mais decisões relacionadas aos dados de pixel e movimento entre a imagem atual e uma ou mais imagens de referência. Caso contrário, minimizar o número de imagens de referência ativas (300) na lista com base em uma ou mais decisões relacionadas aos dados de pixel e movimento entre a imagem atual e uma ou mais imagens de referência. Minimizar o número de imagens de referência ativa em uma segunda lista de imagens de referência com base na utilização de imagens de referência na primeira lista de imagens de referência. Um codificador de vídeo (700) processa os dados representando uma imagem de vídeo bidimensional a qual foi produzida por uma câmera de vídeo convencional comercialmente disponível. O codificador de vídeo é adaptado para determinar, selecionar e minimizar o número de imagens de referência ativa a serem usadas para inter-codificar uma imagem atual. O fluxo de bits transmitido pelo codificador (700) pode ser decodificado por intermédio de codificadores da técnica correlata.
