Abstract

"PORTADOR DE GRAVAçãO, E, DISPOSITIVO PARA VARRER UMA TRILHA SOBRE UM PORTADOR DE GRAVAçãO". Um portador de gravação para gravar informação escrevendo marcações em uma trilha sobre uma camada de gravação. A marcação mais curta usada para gravar a informação tem uma extensão de um número mínimo pré-definido d de extensões de bit de canal. O portador de gravação (11) possui uma pré-ranhura que é modulada por uma configuração de portador contendo marcações de foco (18, 19) que provê uma área de foco (12) em uma localização pré-definida na camada de gravação. As marcações de foco possuem extensões de pelo menos duas vezes a extensão da marcação mais curta, para serem substancialmente mais longas que o diâmetro efetivo do ponto de varredura. Um dispositivo de varredura localiza a área e o foco e determina a melhor decalagem de foco detectando a amplitude de sinal lido máximo, enquanto varre a configuração de portador.
