Abstract

"TRANSMISSõES LOCAIS E DE LONGA DISTáNCIA EM UMA REDE DE BROADCAST SEM FIO". Para difundir diferentes tipos de transmissão tendo diferentes camadas de cobertura em uma rede de broadcast sem fio, cada estação base processa dados para uma transmissão de longa distância de acordo com um primeiro modo (ou esquema de codificação e modulação) para gerar símbolos de dados para a transmissão de longa distância e processar dados para uma transmissão local de acordo com um segundo modo para gerar símbolos de dados para a transmissão local. O primeiro e segundo modos são selecionados com base na cobertura desejada para transmissões de longa distância e locais, respectivamente. A estação base também gera pilotos e informação de overhead para transmissões locais e de longa distância. Os dados, pilotos, e informação de overhead para transmissões locais e de longa distância são multiplexados em suas durações de transmissão, que podem ser diferentes conjuntos de sub-bandas de freqüência, diferentes segmentos de tempo, ou diferentes grupos de sub-bandas em diferentes segmentos de tempo. Mais do que dois diferentes tipos de transmissão também podem ser multiplexados e difundidos.
