Abstract

"MéTODO E CODIFICADOR DE áUDIO PARA CODIFICAR UM SINAL DE áUDIO, APARELHO PARA TRANSMITIR OU ARMAZENAR UM SINAL DE áUDIO CODIFICADO BASEADO EM UM SINAL DE áUDIO DE ENTRADA, MéTODO E DECODIFICADOR DE áUDIO PARA DECODIFICAR UM SINAL DE áUDIO CODIFICADO, APARELHO PARA REPRODUZIR UM SINAL DE áUDIO DE SAìDA, E, PRODUTO DE PROGRAMA DE COMPUTAçãO". Codificar um sinal de áudio é provido em que o sinal de áudio inclui um primeiro canal de áudio e um segundo canal de áudio, a codificação incluindo filtrar em sub-banda cada um do primeiro canal de áudio e do segundo canal de áudio em um banco de filtro modulado complexo para prover uma primeira pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda para o primeiro canal de áudio e uma segunda pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda para o segundo canal de áudio, amostrar descendentemente cada um dos sinais de sub-banda para prover uma primeira pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente e uma segunda pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente, adicionalmente filtrar em sub-banda pelo menos um dos sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente em um banco de filtro adicional a fim de prover uma pluralidade de sinais de sub-sub-banda, derivar parâmetros espaciais dos sinais de sub-sub-banda e daqueles sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente que não são adicionalmente filtrados em sub-banda, e derivar um único sinal de áudio de canal incluindo sinais de sub-banda derivados, derivados da primeira pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente e da segunda pluralidade de sinais de sub-banda amostrados descendentemente.
