Abstract

"ELEMENTO DE SEGURANçA DIFRATIVO COM IMAGEM DE MEIO TOM". A presente invenção refere-se a um elemento de segurança difrativo (1) possui uma imagem de meio tom (2) compreendendo estruturas difrativas em uma camada de reflexão, as quais estão embutidas em um composto de camadas entre uma camada em relevo transparente e uma camada de verniz protetora. A imagem de meio tom (2) é dividida em elementos de imagem (4) com pelo menos uma dimensão menor do que 1 mm, onde a superfície de cada elemento de imagem (4) é dividida em um campo de fundo (5) e em um padrão de elemento de imagem (6). A proporção do padrão de elemento de imagem (6) para a superfície do elemento de imagem (4) determina o brilho da superfície da imagem de meio tom (2) na localização (P) do elemento de imagem (4). O campo de fundo (5) possui uma primeira estrutura difrativa a partir da qual o padrão de elemento de imagem (6) difere por seu efeito de modificação da luz. Faixas de padrão com uma largura de até 0,3 mm adicionalmente estendem-se sobre a superfície da imagem de meio tom (20). As faixas de padrão ocupam uma pequena proporção da superfície dos campos de fundo (5) e/ou dos padrões de elemento de imagem (6) e produzem faixas coloridas (43) na imagem de meio tom (2).
