Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA COMPENSAR DESGASTE DE RODA EM UM TREM". Um método e sistema para compensar desgaste de roda usam informação de posição e/ou velocidade de um sistema de posicionamento independente para medir alguma distância na qual o trem percorreu. Informação de rotação da roda e/ou distância e velocidade de um sensor da roda na distância é também colhida. A informação de rotação da roda e informação de distância e/ou velocidade são depois usadas para determinar o tamanho das rodas do trem e/ou um fator de correção que pode ser usado para corrigir a informação do sensor da roda para o desgaste da roda. O método é executado para periodicamente corrigir as alterações no tamanho da roda com o passar do tempo devido ao desgaste de forma que a informação de rotação da roda pode ser usada para determinar a posição e a velocidade do trem no caso de uma falha do sistema de posicionamento.
