Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO COMESTìVEL, MéTODOS DE CONTROLE DO PESO CORPORAL DE UM ANIMAL, DE REDUZIR A INGESTãO DE RAçãO E O PESO DO CORPO DE UM ANIMAL COM EXCESSO DE PESO E OBESO, DE MANTER O PESO DE UM ANIMAL, DE AUMENTAR A INGESTãO DE ALIMENTO E O PESO CORPORAL DE UM ANIMAL COM PESO ABAIXO DO NORMAL, E, SUPLEMENTO PARA ANIMAIS, PETISCO PARA ANIMAIS OU REFEIçãO PARA ANIMAIS". A invenção desenvolve um sistema de controle de peso que compreende administrar tirosina na quantidade desejada para mudar e manter o peso corporal de um animal. Se o animal está com excesso de peso, o animal deve ser alimentado com uma composição de ração de baixo nível de tirosina. Se o animal estiver com peso abaixo do normal, o animal deve ser alimentado com uma composição de ração com alto nível de tirosina. A invenção também refere-se a uma ração animal com baixo teor de tirosina que contém, em uma base de matéria seca: (a) de cerca de 0,01 % a menos que cerca de 0,4% de tirosina, (b) de cerca de 0,42% a cerca de 3% de fenilalanina, (c) de cerca de 7% a cerca de 70% de proteína, (d) de cerca de 1% a cerca de 60% de gordura, (e) de 0 a 90% de carboidrato, (f) de 0 a cerca de 40% de fibra dietética, e (g) de 0 a cerca de 15% de agentes de equilíbrio nutricional.
