Abstract
"MEMBRANA DE MATRIZ MISTA, MéTODO PARA PREPARAR UMA MEMBRANA DE MATRIZ MISTA, E, PROCESSO PARA SEPARAR COMPONENTES GASOSOS POSSUINDO TAMANHOS MOLECULARES DIFERENTES DE UMA CORRENTE DE ALIMENTAçãO". Uma membrana de matriz mista é proporcionada que compreende um polímero orgânico de fase contínua e peneiras moleculares de poro pequeno dispersas no mesmo. As peneiras moleculares possuem um maior diâmetro livre cristalográfico menor de 0,36 nanómetro ou menor. Quando estas peneiras moleculares são apropriadamente interespaçadas com um polímero de fase contínua, a membrana exibirá um efeito de membrana de matriz mista, isto é, um aumento de seletividade de pelo menos 10% relativo a uma membrana pura não contendo peneiras moleculares. Finalmente, métodos para preparar e usar tais membranas de matriz mista para separar gases de uma mistura contendo dois ou mais gases também são descritos.
