SISTEMA DE RECUPERAçãO DE PLANTA DE OLEFINA APERFEIçOADO EMPREGANDO UMA COMBINAçãO DE DESTILAçãO CATALìTICA E ETAPAS CATALìTICAS DE LEITO FIXO. Apresentou-se um aperfeiçoameno em uma invenção prévia envolvendo hidrogenação catalítica de acetilenos e dienos de 2 a 5 átomos de carbono e mais pesados em uma corrente de alimentação craqueada termicamente, sem hidrogenar significativamente as olefinas de 2 e 3 átomos de carbono. O aperfeiçoamento envolve o uso de um sistema reacional de hidrogenaçãode leito fixo, em combinação com uma versão modificada da unidade de destilação catalítica usada na técnica anterior. An improvement has been provided in a prior invention involving catalytic hydrogenation of heavier acetylenes and dienes of 2 to 5 carbon atoms in a thermally cracked feed stream without significantly hydrogenating the 2 and 3 carbon atoms olefins. The improvement involves the use of a fixed bed hydrogenation reaction system in combination with a modified version of the prior art catalytic distillation unit. Modifying the catalytic distillation unit involves improving the liquid recycling scheme. Fixed bed reactors combined with modifying catalytic distillation provide 100% acetylene conversion and help maintain high conversion of other dienes and acetylenes without any conversion of ethylene or propylene under a range of conditions. These various conditions include, but are not limited to, the composition of diene and acetylene in the feed, the carbon monoxide content in mol% in the feed and catalytic deactivation. With catalytic distillation alone, complete conversion of acetylene as indicated above may not be achieved without loss of ethylene, nor would operation be satisfactory and control would be possible under the range of conditions experienced during a commercial operation.
