Abstract

"MéTODOS E APARELHO PARA SELECIONAR ENTRE MúLTIPLAS PORTADORAS QUE UTILIZAM UMA úNICA CADEIA DE RECEPçãO SINTONIZADA EM UMA úNICA PORTADORA" São descritos receptores que acomodam métodos de seleção de freqüência portadora em sistemas de comunicação sem tio que empregam múltiplas freqüências portadoras. Embora o receptor esteja sintonizado em uma única banda, uma estimativa da qualidade de canal correspondente à portadora atualmente utilizada e uma portadora alternativa é gerada sem comutar entre portadoras. Os transmissores de células e/ou de setores diferentes essencialmente utilizam diferentes freqüências portadoras mas periodicamente transmitem utilizando uma freqüência portadora do setor vizinho. Os receptores de nó móveis utilizam uma única cadeia RF com um filtro RF controlável para receber e processar o sinal dentro de uma primeira banda portadora selecionada que inclui dois componentes, um primeiro componente de sinal identificado com a primeira banda atualmente selecionada e um segundo componente de sinal identificado com uma segunda banda alternativa. Valores indicadores de qualidade separados são obtidos do primeiro e do segundo componentes de sinal, comparados, e é feita a determinação sobre se o filtro RF do receptor deve ser comutado para a segunda banda.
