Abstract

PRODUçãO DE Pó DE NìQUEL ATIVO E SUA TRANSFORMAçãO EM CARBONIL NìQUEL. Pó de níquel ativo é produzido pela redução de um material de alimentação, contendo um ou mais sais de níquel reduzíveis, de forma que quando cloreto de níquel está presente, a proporção em peso de cloreto em relação ao níquel total é maior do que 0,1, e os sais de níquel reduzíveis têm uma área superficial em excesso de 1 m¬ 2¬/g, com um gás redutor contendo preferivelmente, pelo menos, 20 por cento em volume de hidrogênio, numa temperatura preferivelmente entre 300<198>C e 600<198>C, e quando o cloreto de níquel não está presente, pela adição de cloreto de hidrogênio diretamente ao gás redutor. O pó de níquel ativo resultante pode ser rapidamente convertido em carbonil níquel pela reação com um gás contendo monóxido de carbono, preferivelmente à pressão atmosférica ou super- atmosférica, na ausência de catalisadores de carbonilação convencionais.
