Abstract
ADESIVO MéDICO E MéTODOS DE ADESãO DE TECIDO. A presente invenção refere-se a um adesivo incluindo uma mistura de moléculas com terminação isocianato formadas pela reação de moléculas funcionais multiisocianato com moléculas precursoras multifuncionais incluindo grupos funcionais terminais selecionados do grupo que consiste de um grupo hidroxila, um grupo amino primário e um grupo amino secundário. Preferencialmente, os grupos funcionais são grupos hidroxila. Os compostos precursores multifuncionais são biocompatíveis. Precursores funcionais multiamina de moléculas funcionais multiisocianato também são biocompatíveis. Conforme discutido acima, a mistura de moléculas tem, preferencialmente, uma funcionalidade isocianato média de, no mínimo, 2,1 e, mais preferencialmente, tem uma funcionalidade isocianato média de, no mínimo, 2,5. Conforme também descrito acima, a mistura de moléculas tem, preferencialmente, uma viscosidade na faixa de aproximadamente 1 a aproximadamente 100 centipoise. A mistura de moléculas forma uma rede polimérica com ligações cruzadas quando em contato com o tecido orgânico na presença de água. A rede polimérica com ligações cruzadas é biocompatível e biodegradável. A rede polimérica com ligações cruzadas degrada em produtos de degradação incluindo as moléculas precursoras e os precursores funcionais multiamina.
