Abstract

COMPOSIçãO DE VIDRO DE GERMANATO PARA AMPLIFICAçãO DE FIBRA óPTICA, FIBRA DE AMPLIFICADOR óPTICO, AMPLIFICADOR óPTICO, E, DISPOSITIVO LASER é fornecida uma composição de vidro de germanato adequada para uso em um amplificador de fibra para amplificação de faixa larga de sinais ópticos. O vidro preferivelmente inclui 35-75 % DeO~ 2~, 0-45 % PbO, 5-20 % BaO, 5-20 % ZnO e 2-10 % R~ 2~O (R = Na, Li, K). Ele é dopado com íons de túlio (Tm¬ 3+¬) e codopado com íons de hólmio (Ho¬ 3+¬). A composição de vidro da invenção resulta em uma largura de faixa notavelmente grande, comparada com a de vidros anteriores. Ela é também altamente compatível com fibras ópticas de sílica existentes.
