Abstract
CODIFICAçãO E DECODIFICAçãO DE SINAIS BASEADAS EM CONTEXTO. A invenção refere-se a um sistema para a codificação baseada em contexto de um sinal de entrada que inclui um módulo de transformada de domínio e um módulo de codificação baseado em contexto. O módulo de transformada de domínio é operável para converter o sinal de entrada em uma seqüência de coeficientes de transformada c¢i!. O módulo de codificação baseado em contexto inclui um módulo de varredura de plano de bits, um módulo de modelagem de contexto e um módulo de codificação e estatística. O módulo de varredura de plano de bits é operável para produzir um símbolo de plano de bits bps¢bp! para cada coeficiente de transformada c¢i! e cada plano de bits¢bp!. O módulo de modelagem de contexto é operável para atribuir um ou mais valores de contexto a cada um dos símbolos de plano de bits bps¢i, bp! recebidos. O módulo de codificação estatística é operável para codificar cada um dos símbolos de plano de bits bps¢i, bp! como uma função de um ou mais dos valores de contexto correspondentes para produzir um fluxo de símbolos codificados baseados em contexto.
