Abstract

APARELHO, SISTEMA COMPUTADORIZADO E MéTODO PARA DETERMINAR VOLUME DE SANGUE INTRATORáXICO E OUTROS PARáMETROS CARDIOVASCULARES. Aparelho, sistema computadorizado, método e meio de armazenagem para determinar volume de sangue intratoráxico (ITBV) e outros parâmetros cardiovasculares de um paciente por medições de termodiluição. O aparelho compreende a) meio influenciador de temperatura (107) para provocar uma alteração de temperatura local inicial na proximidade de um primeiro lugar (101) do sistema vascular de um paciente (103), introduzindo assim um desvio de temperatura viajando na corrente sangüínea do paciente, b) um dispositivo sensor de temperatura (117) para medir a temperatura local do sangue do paciente em um segundo lugar (102) do sistema vascular (103) do paciente a jusante do citado primeiro lugar (101) c) um sistema computadorizado (104) acoplado ao citado dispositivo sensor de temperatura (117) e adaptado para registrar a citada temperatura do sangue local do paciente medida no citado segundo lugar (102) como uma função do tempo para determinar uma curva de termodiluição, d) o citado sistema computadorizado (104) sendo adicionalmente adaptado para determinar o volume de sangue diastólico final global (GEDV) do paciente e o termovolume intratoráxico (ITTV) do paciente a partir da citada curva de termodiluição, e) o citado sistema computadorizado (104) sendo adicionalmente adaptado para determinar o volume de sangue intratoráxico (ITBV) do paciente de acordo com a seguinte fórmula: ITBV = f (GEDV, ITTV, P) ITBV sendo o volume de sangue intratoráxico, GEDV sendo o volume de sangue diastólico final global, ITTV sendo o termovolume intratoráxico, P sendo uma pressão de canal de ventilação dentro dos pulmões do paciente. Determinando ITBV não somente a partir de GEDV mas também como uma função de ITTV e P, precisão reforçada pode ser obtida, especialmente se o paciente sofrer de edema pulmonar ou for mecanicamente ventilado.
