Abstract
"CONJUNTOS DE PNEU E DE COMPONENTES ELETRôNICOS". Um conjunto de pneu com características de geração de potência integradas inclui um ou mais dispositivos piezoelétricos e módulos de condicionamento de potência. Dispositivos piezoelétricos podem incluir uma pluralidade de fibras piezoelétricas embutidas em uma maneira geralmente unidirecional dentro de uma matriz de epóxi, uma pastilha piezocerâmica provida sobre um substrato e substancialmente circundado por um invólucro protetor, ou uma estrutura unimorfa piezocerâmica aderida com uma polimida termoplástica às respectivas camadas condutivas de cima e de baixo. Cada dispositivo piezoelétrico pode incluir múltiplos elementos piezoelétricos conectados em arranjos em série e/ou paralelo, configurados com respectivas direções de polarização em arranjos opostos ou em fase e/ou configurados em modos de deslocamento d33 ou d31. Os dispositivos piezoelétricos são preferencialmente montados dentro de um conjunto de pneu ou roda de modo que carga elétrica é gerada no mesmo quando o conjunto de roda se move ao longo de uma superficie de solo e é subseqüentemente armazenada em um ou mais dispositivos de armazenamento de energia. A energia armazenada pode então ser usada para energizar componentes eletrônicos como um sistema de monitoração de pneu que transmite de modo radiofónico informações tais como variáveis de pressão, temperatura e identificação de pneu a uma posição receptora remota.
