O dormente (1) apresenta peso adequado ao manuseio pelos operários, facilitando a operação de troca de dormentes deteriorados, e adicionalmente sem a necessidade de mexer no lastro. O dormente (1) objeto do invenção, depois de montado em substituição ao dormente antigo, mantém a altura entre a região de apoio (5) do trilho e a base do dormente, acrescido da altura de uma palmilha (3) tradicional, com o mesmo nível que o trilho apresentava quando montado sobre o dormente original de madeira, sem a necessidade de alterar o nível do lastro."CONCRETE PURPOSE PROVIDED FOR REMODELING OF RAILWAY CONTINUOUSLY OR INTERMALATED TO WOODEN PAIN".
