Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA FABRICAR UMA COMPOSIçãO PARA CONVERSãO EM FIBRA DE LYOCELL, E, SEQüêNCIA DE ALVEJAMENTO DE POLPA". Um processo de pH elevado e um de pH baixo para a redução do grau de polimerização de uma polpa tendo um teor de hemicelulose de pelo menos 7%. O pH elevado é maior do que 8, e no processo de pH baixo é de 2 a 8. O processo de pH elevado reduz o grau de polimerização sem substancialmente aumentar o índice de cobre. O processo de pH baixo requer um tratamento subseqüente com álcali para reduzir o índice de cobre da polpa a menos que 2. O processo pode ser praticado em fábricas de polpa com uma seqüência de alvejamento tendo um ou mais estágios E ou D. No final da seqüência de alvejamento, uma polpa tendo um grau de polimerização de 200 a 1100, um índice de cobre menor que 2, e um teor de hemicelulose de pelo menos 7% é provido. A polpa pode ser usada para fazer fibras de lyocell.
