Abstract

"ARQUITETURA EXTENSìVEL PARA VìDEOS AUXILIARES". São descritos um sistema e método por meio dos quais um dispositivo computacional auxiliar tendo uma plataforma de vídeo auxiliar que exibe informações correspondentes aos dados que se originaram no sistema de computador principal pode ser estendido por um fabricante de dispositivo. o hardware estendido é adicionado ao dispositivo, por exemplo, um receptor de rádio e/ou décor de áudio. A plataforma de vídeo auxiliar é dividida em camadas e extensível em cada camada, e inclui uma camada de abstração de hardware extensível que é extensível de modo a suportar um hardware estendido, caso necessário, e uma camada de acionador extensível por meio da adição de um código de acionador para o hardware estendido. Uma camada de tempo de execução é também extensível de modo a suportar o hardware estendido conforme necessário, como, por exemplo, bibliotecas, o programa shell auxiliar ou outro código gerenciado. A interface API de cliente é igualmente extensível no sentido de permitir aplicações no sistema de computador principal a fim de se comunicar com o hardware estendido via a camada de tempo de execução de dispositivo.
