Abstract
SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA A REMOçãO DE DIóXIDO DE CARBONO E MONóXIDO DE CARBONO DE GáS EXPIRADO PELO PACIENTE DURANTE ANESTESIA. Um método e sistema para a aplicação de peneiras moleculares para a remoção de dióxido de carbono e monóxido de carbono dos gases expirados pelo paciente durante anestesia. O sistema é especialmente útil em anestesia usando qualquer um dos agentes anestésicos de inalação de éter halogenado. Os gases expirados são secados usando um dessecante não reativo para remover água, passados através de um filtro capaz de remover partículas maiores do que 0,3 mícrons, passados através de um leito contendo peneiras moleculares naturais ou sintéticas capazes de remover dióxido de carbono e monóxido de carbono e depois retomado ao circuito de respiração para recirculação ao paciente.
