Abstract
REATOR CATALìTICO COMPACTO, E, PLANTA PARA PROCESSAR UMA CORRENTE DE GáS Um reator catalítico compacto compreende uma pilha de placas (72, 74, 75) para definir uma multiplicidade de primeiros e segundos canais de fluxo dispostos alternadamente na pilha; cada canal de fluxo, em que ocorre uma reação química, é definido por canais contínuos através de pelo menos uma placa, cada tal canal contínuo contendo uma estrutura de catalisador removível (80), permeável a gás, incorporando um substrato de metal. Os primeiros canais de fluxo (76) são orientados em uma direção que é perpendicular à dos segundos canais de fluxo (77), e entre segundos canais de fluxo sucessivos na pilha, o reator define, pelo menos, três primeiros canais de fluxo lado-a-lado (76); e o reator incorpora meios de desvio de fluxo (80, 88), de modo que o primeiro fluido deve fluir através de, pelo menos, três destes primeiros canais de fluxo (76) em sucessão, ao fluir de uma entrada para uma saída. Os trajetos de fluxo globais podem, assim, ser aproximadamente co-correntes ou contra-correntes.
