Abstract

MéTODO PARA REMOçãO DE OOCISTOS DE CRYPTOSPORIDIUM DA áGUA Um método para estabilizar e remover os oocistos de Cryptosporidium ou cistos de Giardia da água. O método compreende adicionar quitosana, um sal ou solução de quitosana à água contendo oocistos de Cryptosporidium ou cistos de Giardia e um agente de halogenação. O método pode também incluir adicionar um floculante de polieletrólito secundário à água. Os flocs resultantes são filtrados para remover os oocistos de Cryptosporidium ou cistos de Giardia.
