Abstract
Método e dispositivo para implementar um temporizador de duração de vida de dados para transmissão por canal dedicado aprimorado. Um sistema de comunicação sem fio, o qual suporta transmissões de dados através do canal dedicado aprimorado (E-DCH), inclui uma unidade de transmissão e recepção sem fio (WTRU), e ao menos um nó-B e uma controladora de rede de rádio (RNC). A WTRU inclui um buffer, um temporizador de duração de vida de dados, um contador de retransmissões, um processo e uma controladora de requisição repetitiva híbrido-automática (H-ARQ). O temporizador estabelece um tempo de vida para ao menos um dos blocos de dados, que se encontram armazenados no buffer. Caso não tenha ocorrido a alocação de recursos físicos, para o bloco de dados que está associado ao temporizador de duração de vida e que este esteja próximo ao seu término, então a WTRU envia uma requisição urgente, para a alocação de canal. Caso os recursos fisicos não tenham sido alocados, o bloco de dados tem a sua prioridade aumentada para a transmissão dos dados, com relação aos demais blocos de dados. O bloco de dados é descartado, se o temporizador de duração de vida expirar ou, se a WTRU receber informação de retro-alimentação indicando que o bloco de dados foi recebido com sucesso pelo nó-B.
